Camille Macy is Prairie Heights Spelling Champ
The 2026 Prairie Heights Elementary Spelling Bee took place on January 20, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. in the Prairie Heights Elementary Gymnasium. Students competed in seven rounds to find the winners. Camille Macy, 3rd grade, was the champion speller. Kresten Armbrust, a 4th grader, came in second place. Bristol Harris, also in 4th grade, came in third place. Tymbar Stice, a 6th grader, came in fourth place as the alternate. The top three students will compete in the Morris County Spelling Bee on February 5th, 2026, in the Council Grove High School Auditorium at 1:00 p.m.
The students who qualified for the Spelling Bee at PHES are:
1st grade: Dane Smith and Hank Womack, Alternate-Colt Olsen
2nd grade: Declan Alvarez and Kaizer Sparks, Alternate-Lucas Weaver
3rd grade: Camille Macy and Mia Bender, Alternate-Grayson Longren
4th grade: Kresten Armbrust and Nova Womack, Alternate-Bristol Harris
5th grade: Kamryn Boyd and Kaydan Collins, Alternate: Stephen Prince
6th grade: Tymbar Stice and Piper Hutchison, Alternate: Juli Mercado
